Shuttle Crew to Visit NASA HeadquartersOne week after the landing of space shuttle Atlantis and its crew, NASA Headquarters in Washington is preparing to welcome the astronauts of the STS-120 crew, which wrapped up a mission to the International Space Station in November.
That 15-day mission added a key component to the station, the Harmony module, and featured an unprecedented spacewalk to repair a damaged solar array.
Six of the STS-120 crew members will share mission highlights with NASA employees, their families and media at NASA Headquarters' James E. Webb Auditorium on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. EST. The crew's presentation will air live on NASA Television's public and media channels.
The STS-120 crew members who will attend the event are: Commander Pam Melroy, Pilot George Zamka and mission specialists Scott Parazynski, Doug Wheelock, Stephanie Wilson and European Space Agency astronaut Paolo Nespoli.
The astronauts also will attend a reception in honor of crew member Paolo Nespoli at the Embassy of Italy.
